Picked up a new vest

Went to Cabela's in Ft. Oglethorpe this morning in search of a new turkey vest.. Been waiting til closer to turkey season so I could go try some on in person to decide what I wanted once they got all their turkey stuff in. Tried the Tactical Tat'r II, Tactical Tat'r Kickstand, Super Tat'r III, and the Cabelas Minimalist... After it was all said and done, ended up walking out with the Super Tat'r III on sale for $79.99. It and the Tat'r II fit the best but the Tat'r III was a lot lighter and less bulky and I felt like the pockets were a lot easier to get into. Also liked that it had shell holders as well as roomy pot call pockets. The pot call pockets in the II seemed really small to me and some of my pot calls would probably not even fit. Overall I am real satisfied with the fit and function of the vest, looking forward to field testing next month!
 
Good choice, and a great price too. You're correct about the weight, the III weighs about a pound less than the II (3.8 vs 2.8), so 30% less.
 
I picked out the tat r 2 vest and got to open it for a early birthday present yesterday. I love the organization of it. There's a pocket for everything. I saw a bunch of reviews about alot of people's pot calls not fitting but I took a leap of faith and mine fit great. The only drawback I could see were no shell holders. Other than that I set wait to use it. Hope yours works great for you.
