I am pretty new to the hunting scene, and picked up a 12ga Mossberg 50...its just a basic field combo...has a 28" barrel, and a couple of different chokes. Would using something like this and the right choke be okay for fall turkey hunting? Ive got to get my ducks in a row before the little stretch of fall comes.

ya should be fine to use that for fall, depends on which choke you are using though I would recommend atleast a Full

Kill a turkey with it, I killed a turkey with an even cheaper gun (NEF pardner) but I did have an XX full choke in there. The full choke will get the job done though, it's up to you on how tight you want the pattern (tighter is longer range).

It will kill a turkey just as dear as anything will. You just need to pattern it.
Is there a Mossberg 50 or did you mean 500? If 500 yes it will do whatever you want if you change the chokes out. Matter of fact I think I have a modified that came with mine that you can have depending on where you are in TN if you want to pick it up. I sold mine a few years ago and went to the 835. Killed quite a few birds with that gun including my first.
