Last fall I got the pse prophecy 70#, ibo 340, 29" draw. With that set up what spine/ grain, arrows would you recommend for hunting? Also ready to hunt what kinda speed should I be looking at? Put a drop away rest on it..

IMO the Gold Tip Velocity or Kinetic 300 spine would be a good fit. I shoot stiff spine arrows with good results. You could also go with a 340 spine arrow as well.

With that set up if I shoot 355 gr arrows, with only a d-loop & peep on my string, is 320 ft/sec to much to expect? That would put me at about 79.6 ft-lbs of KE..

With that set up 320 is almost exactly what it should shoot , but you might wanna shoot a little heavier arrow to get in the sweet spot of KE and FPS . And you are really on the very edge of arrow weight . Your blessed with a longer draw length so you can shoot a heavier arrow and still keep some speed .

I'm shooting a 400 grain arrow with a 26" draw at 70 lbs. at 280 FPS and around 69 KE and that's about as good as I can get . I would be stoked with your draw length lol

I'm a 29.5" draw and when picking arrows I try to stay around 400-425 grainslast seasons arrows were 423gr at 287fps, which gave me 76ft/lbs k/e. One thing about lighter arrows is the bow will not be as quiet and you will scrub off speed and k/e at a faster rate downrange. When picking arrows, and considering the capabilities of the bow, there is a balance that can be achieved by finding that sweet-spot of speed and weight that will maximize arrow performance downrange.

I'm switching this year to a heavier arrow for exactly that reason. Last year was 70 lbs, 390 gr arrows out of an Elite Answer at 29". This year will be 460gr GT Expeditions out of a 70lb Evolution. The difference in sound alone is ridiculous. The more subjective measurments, target penetration/how the target rocks back are pretty noticable too.
