pics of .40-65 brass cleaned with ceramic media

I purchased mine from Shiloh Sharps, ask plenty of questions, tell the vendor what brass you are going to tumble because the ceramic media will lodge inside bottle neck cases and will be almost impossible to remove, the size shown in the picture is for basically straight cases with very little or no neck

stainless steel they say is just as good

ask before you buy

8# bag of ceramic media $60.00 Shiloh Sharps website
2 quarts of non foaming cleaner $25.00 Shiloh Sharps website

I add a squirt of dawn and about 4 ounces of lemon juice concentrate

even though I was told not to use a regular RCBS vibrating tumbler with media bowl sitting on top of power unit, I do so anyways, I have had no issues for the past 2 years with this process

Yep, the knock on ceramic is they will lock up inside a bottleneck case. Even if you get the smaller cut ceramic that tendency remains, just not as bad. The huge plus is they tumble very well for pistol shooters and any straight wall cases.

Just as an FYI, SmartReloader make tumblers that claim to be good for wet tumbling. I have one, I beat the crapola out of it with 223 brass, holding up very well with dry media. And the price is definitely right.
