I'm Confused turkey are a whole new ball of wax for me so this might be a stupid question! I want to know how the turkeys might use the pines if at all? There's a lot of these on my lease and they boarder roads, powerlines, and hardwoods.

A secondary question should I clear all the blackberry bushes out of the old roads thru the pines? Someone said that would promote turkey usage but I'm not sure how that would help.

Absolutely; turkeys will utilize pines. It might be good to just go for a walk and look for scratching, poop, feathers and such. They'll feed through there, nest in young/thick pines, and has already been mentioned..roost in the bigger trees.

Regarding the blackberry bushes, I'd leave it. Over the years, I've found plenty of turkey nests amongst the briars and brambles.

I think big pines may be as good or better for birds, roosting and roaming. Plus the evergreen cover is much cooler in midday. Set up on a row and wait
