Play-off

Is this by the checkerboard math?
Pop Tv Agreement GIF by Schitt's Creek

1. OREGON (big 10 champ) over Indiana
2. UGA ( SEC champ) over Texas
3. SMU ( ACC champ) over Clemson
4. Boise state ( group of 5 champ)
5. Penn state. 11-1
6. Noter Dame 11-1
7. Texas 11-2
8. Tennessee 10-2
9. Indiana 11-2
10 Ohio st. 10-2
11 ????
12.Arizona state (big 12 champ) over Iowa st.

Still a spot open IMO if Clemson beats SMU to get the BYE I think both Clemson and SMU get in. (SMU would be 11-2) you could swap around UGA and Texas, or put in Iowa state over Arizona state if you like, but those seem to be the teams that are gonna make it.

So, if SMU wins the ACC and knocks Clemson out of the CFP it opens up a can of worms that's gonna leave someone pissed. Does the CFP committee let a 3 loss SEC team in over a 2 loss Miami? If so who SC or Bama?

Indiana will only have 1 loss. They won't play in the Big 10 champ. It will be Oregon/Penn St.

Will they move Indiana above TN, and keep Penn St above if they lose the Big 10 champ?

Who knows what will happen with this this. I wish someone would look at a teams schedule instead of record. Indiana for instance did not beat a single ranked opponent and got hammered against the only ranked team they played. Notre Dame best win is Texas Am and got beat by Northern Illinois. SMU? Who lost to the only ranked team they played which was BYU? Clemson can get in with 3 losses if they win ACC championship against SMU? Just some thoughts seems to me some will get rewarded for a playing a weaker schedule than others( just random examples). Oh well at least it looks like the Vols are in!

Penn St has one top 25 win against Illinois.

Basically looks like they may put the top 10-12 ranked teams in a hat after the Conference Champs are named and draw the other 7 out of the hat.
