I hate to hear that. The other thing is don't be a complete idiot on the water. There was a guy under Milton Hill damn last week in a kayak they got pulled up against the damn and couldn't get out, he had to be rescued. He needed to be slapped for his stupidity

This is awful. How in the heck does a house boat back over you. I would think you could see it coming or at least hear it. I'd like to know how it happened. I can't imagine how the family feels.

Friend of ours was out on the water this last Sunday, fell off the back end of a boat. Other boaters happened to see it. One of them was able to dive right on the right spot and blind-grab her. Got her in the boat and to a dock where some off-duty deputies were able to clear her lungs and get her breathing. Med-flighted her to Winston-Salem hospital not a moment too soon. Her husband was out on his yearly guard duties somewhere and had to hot-foot it back home, don't know where he was.

Her BAL was about 3x legal driving limit (whatever it is in NC).
