Using a FOC calculator I get FOC 0f 11.96%(with tip) and 13.0625%(without tip). Which is the correct way to measure? Are those numbers good and what is the purpose?

The measurement is taken for the full arrow ready to shoot. FOC means how much of the weight is ahead of the mid point of the finished arrow. The theory is that you want more weight up front to stabilize the arrow with the vanes in the back. Think about how darts fly since they move slow enough that we can see them stabilize in the air.

I have had the best flight characteristics with arrows with FOC of 10% and greater. My longer range target arrows have a FOC of 14%. Yours should be really good at 12%.

you will need to recalculate when you have a broadhead on the arrow as they are longer than field point. won't change it much , but if you are picky like me you will want to know.

I am with Jay on the FOC. My set up s right around 13% and it shoots great. Best thing about learning about FOC is you can play with it just by changing the points. Now when you go to broadheads it will change a little as the length is a bit longer. This is a factor in arrows that I think most folks overlook but is just as important or even more than arrow spine.

Ditto jay. Anything under 10 with a fieldpoint can cause trouble later on. I like higher foc bc it stabilizes better which gives me better accuracy at longer ranges.

To fine tire I'll add a wrap up front if need be. A lot of fanatics shoot 125 grain heads to adjust it. I just am partial to 100 grain heads.

I thought about adding a small wrap up front how do they hold up.
