you are the man Andy. Thanks. That was taken about a week ago. What would yall guestimate his score would be if he continued his growth normally? His mass is amazing. He is already a 9 pointer.

Mass in velevet is very deceiving and his ears are back a little. But I would guess 140-ish. Very nice deer that will make it fun to shoot your bow in the summer heat.

WAG here, but I'd feel comfortable saying he'll gross 125"+ come hard horn (assuming he continues to grow to some extent).

He will lose a good bit of that once he sheds velvet. Regardless, he is a nice buck and I hope you cross paths with him this fall. Best of luck.

Why is that? What were you thinking score wise? I would be more concerned with whether or not he will be within two miles of where the pic was taken come end of September. I wish I had a dollar for every good buck I watched in the summer or caught on camera in Aug/Sep only to have vanish off the face of the earth come bow opener. Not all of them do this, but the majority do. You just never know what the future holds with summer time bucks.

Andy has a good point. Score wise, who knows unless you have a history and can get a pretty good estimate of tine length, if the main beams are going to get longer etc. He has width and obviously great potential.

My concerns would be not to over pressure the area you got his picture from. Its terribly addictive to capture a bucks picture and want to continue checking your cam to see if you have more pictures of him. Take it from me, I know personally how that goes...only to realize when it may be too late that all the pressure in and out of the woods is educating him. I would advise to NOT place a trail camera in an areas of the woods you intend on hunting.

None the less, thats an awesome looking buck, and hope you nothing but the best....oh and for shattering your dreams....lol
you can always let him grow older if he isnt what you want :)
Good Luck

Guys...thanks for all the input. I definitely will not mess up his area.

Andy, I was just messing around. I am a terrible scorer anyway. I was thinking that he might be closer to 140. That picture was not from my trail cam but from the road about 50 yards away. I took the picture with my phone from the camera zoomed in. Maybe that will mean he is going to be bigger:)
