If you had the option of getting either an EV or 570 for hunting, which one would you get? Pro's and Con's for both? I'm leaning towards gas just for the reason of having to buy batteries every 5 years or so with proper maintenance.

Gas. But I would go with the 1000 instead. I liked my 570 but like my 1000 way better.
My neighbor has a 1000 and I can hear him coming a mile away, so I was hoping the 570 would be quieter. Sounds like gas is the preferred way to go. Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

The only advantage I see with an electric rig is the sound.
IMO the disadvantages don't outweigh the noise level, but it's something to consider if you want to ride the SxS close to where you're hunting.

My 570 was a little more quite. But not a ton.. this has been 4 or 5ish years ago now though.

I have a 2024 1000. It's a little loud in low range but in high range it's super quiet. That's what sold me on it over Kawasaki and CFMOTO was how quiet it is. I would go drive different brands and base your opinion off of that.

I would go gas. I can't imagine running out of electricity on a camping/hunting trip. I can always carry extra gas, but not electricity! Or, I can beg, borrow, or steal gas. Can't do either with electricity!

Regarding the noise, I frequently hunt public land with ATV trails. Many times I've been in the stand and observed deer as ATV's were nearby, or in the distance. Some of them really loud. Depending on terrain, as long as the ATVs were more than 50-75 yards away and out of sight, animals didn't care. Now if you turn the corner and something is standing in the trail, then it's gonna spook.
