I hadnt seen anything out of this buck in a few weeks so I figured he was dead. He was healthy in late August but had this by late September. Here he is still alive Mid October.

Saw a deer like this on a well known hunting show. I can't remember which one. He was 3 or 4 and had the growth since a yearling. They were still letting him walk then. You never know.

Definetly wasn't malignant! He looks to have made a total 180 deg turn... much better condition than in the other pics. About the only think I can think of that would cause such poor condition initially, then what appears to be a full recovery would be a walled-off abscess.

Whatever it is, I bet he hangs it on a fence crossing and rips it open... that'll either be the cure or the end of him :)
