One of the issues in using pot calls is keeping the surface dry and conditioned. I usually have mine in a neoprene pouch that handles the rain pretty good. But, the constant rubbing while carrying makes frequent conditioning a necessity. When ordering a Fred Cox striker the other day, I found these in their catalog: https://www.midwestturkeycall.com/turke ... -pack.html
So far, they have fit all three of the calls I have put them on. They should go a long way to keeping things drier and having them ready to go without the need of conditioning.

Midwest also sells the lids singly at $4.95.

Steve - did you happen to buy a cover from Enticer (Al)?

http://www.enticerturkeycalls.com/shop/ ... all-cover/

I have never owned a plastic cover like any of them and was just wondering if anyone owns 2-3 brands, so they could give an opinion of one versus the other. If not, no big deal. I'm still using a coke can koozie, but a plastic cover would likely be an upgrade.

No, I didn't. But, in the mailing from him when I got my call and carbon striker, he had info about how much it would help. He claims that with the call savers you might only have to condition a few times a season rather than a few times a day. When I ordered the Cox tulipwood striker I have been hearing about, I found the call savers in the Midwest catalog and decided to give them a try. I had used one on a previous Woodhaven call. I like that the four pack has four of different colors that will help in grabbing the call I want in the field.

I only have the Woodhaven covers. I bought the exact same 4 pack scn got and they fit all my Houndstooth friction calls tightly.(measure around 3 5/8" to the outsides of the pot) They really make a difference in the amount of conditioning you have to do. It seemed like I would have to recondition my call every time I'd put it away to make a move on a bird, whether in my pocket or in my vest, because it would get slicked up. Now, I just pop the cover on and can throw it in my pocket/vest, make my move, pull it right back out as I'm sitting down and everything is good to go. Less movement and time wasted! The identification of calls portion(even in low light), like scn mentioned, if you're carrying multiple pot calls is eased considerably with the different colored lids.

For those who have these, How much more difficult do they make sliding the call into the call pockets in the vest?
I like the idea and wouldn't mind trying something similar to these.

None at all. I bought a couple of these at the NWTF convention 4-5 years ago and have used them ever since. They fit every pot call I have. They are great.

Agreed. No issue at all fitting into the call pocket on a vest.
