Potentially Dumb Question

In a quest to learn the bow better (and a potential to appear really stupid), I have a question. Is there a correct place to put the string on your face when aiming? I put it on my nose and lips (if that makes sense).

But, my brother-in-law gave me his PSE (God love him!), and the sites when aiming this way were off by about 8 inches at 20 yards left.

Please help.

I touch my nose and lip also when aiming and if that is your natural anchor point you will have to adjust the sights. You would have to adjust them anyway because your draw and your brother-in-laws will more than likley be different

That helps alot! Thanks.

The main thing here is not necessarily where someone anchors their bow at full draw, but that YOU find an anchor spot, set your equipment up to meet that point, and then you stick to it religiously. Depending upon your release, loop, nock, finger tab, etc, other folks bows will shoot differently for you unless you adjust them to your anchor point.

Make sure you train yourself to a habitual anchor point, cuz when that deer is in front of ya, sometimes you ain't thinking too clearly! ;0)

May just be the difference in the way he anchors and sites and the way you do. It could also be that the draw length is short or long causing you to tilt your head out of alignment.
