Poults

[Cutover]

Finally,3 hens with 6 poults in clover patch this morning. Clover is full of grasshoppers. Hopefully mom is bringing them to fill up with protein and a couple of them will be big toms. Looks like fresh mowed clover with rain and cool front is the ticket.

I have yet to see the first Poults but have only seen 2 hens in the last 6 weeks or so. Only talked to 2 people that have seen any. One guy seen a hen with ten though

I've only see a handful out of a lot of hens I've seen. The handful were on the Oak Ridge WMA

There is a hen with six poults that stay here around my Hayfield,they are about the size of banty chickens

You are lucky... only one group on my place and I trap. Hope you are the average and I the exception. Many in years past here

Seen lots of hens this year on my place this summer... not a single poult, tho

I saw 5 poults with 3 hens today on the Oak Ridge WMA. Still nothing at home.
