Tell me if this is a good idea, but to make me bend from the waist at elevated position I look straight out ahead of me, draw my bow, then bend from my waist down onto the target. I figured this would force me to bend from the waist instead of trying to get on target first. This feels comfortable since I get to draw my bow in the same position as I typically practice, on the ground. Will this technique work during battle?

I draw level and then bend at the waist. You'll find bending slowly to be less of an issue than drawing. Keep practicing until it's all one motion if you can.

10-4, I had a good session up in the tree this evening. My broadheads are shooting great and on target.

Good practice.
Yep, he appears to be doing great. Now, if the deer will just cooperate, UTGrad will be showing us some bloody pictures in a couple of weeks! :D :D :D

Don't forget the safety belt/harness.
From what he says, he is using it Everytime... and up and down the tree! Exactly as it should be UTGrad. Keep up the perfect practice!!!

I've had a buddy stand sitting in the backyard for a couple of years and finally a lightbulb went off. So after a couple of hours with the chainsaw I now have it attached to a tree in the corner of the property and clear shooting lanes with targets set at various distances! No excuse for me not to be practicing.I told my daughter this was my new hiding place if her or her mother were looking for me!I also told her that I was going to put a tv up there and I actually think she belives me!

Say UTGrad, you been talking to Joe at all lately? Sounds like you guys ought to re-connect.

No, I remember us talking about that last year. We do need to reconnect since he likes to lay the smack down on some deer. That buck he got last year was a beauty.
