Last weekend I shot the prime impact and I was very impressed with the bow. I have also heard some awesome things about elite bows. I was wondering if any of you guys have either of these brand of bows? It seems like the Elite pulse and answer are the two bows from Elite that have caught my eye. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The Impact draws and shoots a lot like the Answer with smooth mods on it...except the Impact is a bit faster per the same arrow and draw weight. My favorite Elite is actually the Pure. I think it draws smoother than the Answer and will probably be kicking my butt for trading mine for a Strother Hope.

I bought a Prime Shift last summer and have definately found the bow I will shoot for many years. Best thing I have done in a long time come to think of it.

I am a little partial. But I really like Elite. Answer and Hunter have such a solid back wall and excellent draw cycle. The Primes are great bows too. I think most of the Primes are a tad bit faster than Elite.

Any bow with limb stops is going to have a "solid" backwall...limbs are solid lol

There are big changes to the 2013 Primes, vs the 2011 and 2012s...the cam grooves are deeper for sure, and you don't have that sudden dump into the valley on the Impact like you do on the Centroid and Shift. I rank the Impact right up there with the best of the ones I've shot for 2013.

The only thing I have against Obsession bows is that they are just K&K bows with a different name. I'm real shy about anything that Kevin Strother has anything to do with now days. Dennis may take the company far but otherwise I would wait and see if they are gonna hang around a while instead of going belly up after a few yrs.

I agree 100%...I think that hurt Obsession having Strother design for him. That's the reason I don't like Strother archery...I won't give him a dime of my money...lol.

Oh it's even worse than that...Kevin didn't design for Dennis...he gave him the leftover stock of K&K risers and such because he couldn't use a two track binary cam system on the K&Ks like he wanted to...the patent holder wouldn't let him do it due to some bad blood between the two. Dennis was able to get the nod to use the patent for the two track system...and then K&K belly ups, and next thing you know Dennis has Obsession rolling with two new bows that have the same specs and looks as the old K&K Vengeance and Vindicator...but with a two track binary cam system.

BTW....Strother Archery today has nothing to do with Kevin other than the last name. He done them like he has done so many other companies in the last few years...designed a riser or two and then he moved on to something else. Strother Archery has totally different people behind them now designing for them. Same goes for Elite.

ckirk4bama,Not sure where you are located but if your in the Clarksville area or southern Ky.Herndon Archery carries both lines and has several set up to shoot.

I just set up my Elite Pulse there yesterday. Its one fine shooting machine.Dont let the 6in brace scare you.Very accurate. Most dead in the hand bow i have ever shot and i have shot many.No vibration no kick just feels good.

I am not like some who buy a new bow and a few hours claim its the best they ever had.I'll give it one hunting season to tell the truth. But after 2 days its looking pretty good.

The Impact is impressive also.Just from prior experience.Dont want to be the first to try the double cams.

Good luck!
