I think it was UT Grad who posted a while back about the AAE Pro Drop rest. I just wanted to give a quick review myself. I've been fooling with these drop away rests since they became popular and never really found one I absolutely was amazed at. I didn't like having to attach to the cables. The Limb Driver came out and attached to the upper limb but I didn't like that either. I got a Trophy Taker that attached to the lower limb and this I liked...but it had a serious problem with fraying and snapping the draw cord. The QAD HDX has the best looks of any I've shot. I loved full arrow containment and that it stayed up if you had to let down. BUT it still attached to the cable and without a press, it made working on it hard.
Then I kept hearing about this Pro Drop. I hadn't seen one in person but took a chance and ordered one. I must say...wow. Easiest drop away I've ever setup. A cable instead of a rope that can fray or stretch. It can attach to the top OR bottom limb OR to the cables. The only thing and I do mean ONLY thing I wish it did that it doesn't do...is have the ability to stay up I'm case of a let down. If they come up with a way to do that...bam...perfect rest. Give one a look if you're in the market.
