Pulled cards on 3 cameras this weekend.Same routine.Pull chip, install new chip, change batteries, make sure i get 99% battery and 60 second count down. This is normal for all my Moultries. One camera showed over 800 pics. The other showed 33 pics.About normal for both locations.Get home and put chips in my Cannon camera. Both chips say "no images".
Both chips are 4gb Sanduskys.Do chips fill up even if i delete them after downloading them?
Can see maybe 1 camera going bad.But 2 at the same time?
Any help is appreciated.

format your cards nexts time or the pictures are saved to the cameras own memory if they have that but thats all i know it could be.

Forgive me i'm pretty dumb. What do you mean by "format your cards".Yes i think the pics may be stored.Hope they are.But they are 70 miles away now. Also what would make it change.Been doing it this way for years.Havent changed anything but the batteries.

until i started to format cards the sd card would read .... pictures on the trail cam, put into camera at home no pics (gets you very mad also) but when i put the card into my laptop it would start to download pics, i saw on here a person talk about formatting your cards on your laptop stops it from happening again, to format cards you put the cards into your laptop, right click on sd card icon and select format and it starts about a 5 min countdown after that its ready to go,

Put the chip in a computer bet you will be able to see them then.

My guess i will need an adaptor of some sort to do this. Thanks ill look into this.

Universal card readers (readers that will read ever make and model of memory card) that plug into any computer (or HD TV) using a USB port can be purchased at Wally World for about $10.

Yep, my camera won't read my cards either.
Get it on a computer and I agree it will probably work.

Nothing wrong with your camera(s), just the structure of the pictures on the chip. You camera wants a specific folder or folder chain and won't read anything on the chip no in that expected folder format. Some cameras are like thi, others aren't.

Same trail cams, same chips, same Cannon digital.Been using this combo for years with no trouble.
I guess my Cannon all of a sudden changed its mind about what it likes.

I have one m80 that has eaten batteries from the start, I mean as in less than 30 pics and batteries dead in 4 to 7 days. not happy with this cam. now that I have some experience with it. I have had two fail in the last year both not but 13 to 16 months old and way less use than age .

Don't format these cards until you have viewed them. It's simply your camera. Most laptops have a built sd card reader. Once viewed on computer, you can go to start, computer, sd card, and delete the card file. You can also save individual pictures to your computer. But definately don't format the cards until viewed or you will lose all pics
