Since buying my land nearly a year ago one of my goals has been to attract turkeys to my land. I have deer hunted this area for years and turkeys have been few and far between up in the mountains away from the big bottom fields. Back in the Spring I was able to hear 2 gobblers but they only stuck around for a few days. Im proud to say that since clearing out my fields I have now gained, at least for now, two fall flocks. Yesterday I laid eyes on the first turkey Ive ever personally seen on my property and a hunting buddy saw a jake several days ago. I have also started getting some trail cam pics. Makes me feel good, just hope they stick around. Looks like some young birds in there.

Very cool! I feel the same way Steven. I have heard them and even seen some scratching but have yet to see any. I know in a year or so I will. Some of my improvements will bring them to the area. Congrats again.
