I've always been a Hoyt guy but its also been bout 12 years since I've had a new bow. I like the style of the new Hoyts but not sure if I'd like the frame styles for hunting. I've also seen a lot of nice shooting PSE s over the last couple years to. Looking for a good bow that will last a few years, that's ok get, and a good multi purpose hunting bow. Also one that is pretty comfortable and has a good range for draw length and weight, as I am in Afghanistan right now and will be ordering it online to be waiting for me when I get back in the fall. Thanks for any input

I had always said I would stick to a PSE but when I bought a new bow last year price came into play and I bought a Martin, I'm not sorry I did either

I just THOUGHT I knew what a quality built bow was....then I got a Hoyt and it surpassed everything I've ever owned in build quality. I am just amazed at the attention to detail and precision of machine work.

As far as the PSE bows go. They do have their problems; like anything, they aren't perfect. I do not like the cam & module system they have on their bows. It is a very weak area IMO, as a former CNC machinist. I just had a 2013 Supra Max and although the bow was shootable...it wasn't even in the same ball park as Hoyt in the quality of machining area. Actually, even with it being a Pro series bow, it was what I would consider low-mid grade machine work. I think even some of the 2nd tier bow companies have them beat on that. They are shootable though. Between the two...I would go the route of the Hoyt. But in addition, I would take a look at some of the other companies out there. For a hunting bow...the Obsession bows really made a big impression on me at the ASA shoot. Elite has taken a big uprising in popularity this year. I personally like Strother bows more so than Elite but that's just me. Just about everybody makes a good bow these days...you just have to do a lot of shooting and let the bow pick you.

I switched from pse to hoyt. and will never look back. im not a fan of their bows on the market right now. I just don't shoot them that well. and they don't fit in my hand like I want to. Im a die hard hoyt fan they have put on some real shooters. but I would look into these companies if I were you two instead of limiting to two. hoyt, elite, new breed, I like the obsession bows to.

I love them both...lol. I love my PSE Revenge, will never get rid of it. Also like the new DNA SP. Hoyt's are VERY good bows as well. Had a lot of them over the years.

I like both manufacturers. They both make quality bows. I have had both of them. I make my choice of which bow to shoot as to which one feels and shoots the best in my hand. I shot PSE for years then switched to Mathews. Now I back to PSE. I had a Hoyt Trykon XL and it shot good but just wasn't for me. My advice to you is shoot them both and choose which one
you like.
