Put in for quota hunts

Never done a quota hunt before but since i have the type 004 and there is no fee, I just went and applied for the Cheatham WMA and Cheatham Lake/pardue pond refuge for fall turkey hunting.

Hope I get drawn. If not, there are plenty of birds in Maury county.

I don't know what the turkey population is like up in cheatham but is it half decent?

I have never turkey hunted but since there was no fee I put in for both of the Cheatham hunts as well. There's definitely a better chance of us getting the WMA hunt then the Cheatham lake hunt.

There's a good population on the WMA. From what I've heard they get call shy easily but shouldn't have that problem in the fall. Not sure about the population on Cheatham lake. I am pretty sure it is accessible by boat only though.

Well if by any chance I get the cheatham lake hunt, and it's only accessible by boat, I will be sure and find a way.
