We have been watching this bird since before juvenile. He was the boss gobbler on this farm. He has been hened up every day and we couldn't get him in range. We hunted him yesterday morning but we just couldn't seal the deal. I went and roosted him yesterday evening and he messed up. He roosted about 80 yards away from the hens. We got in there early this morning in between him and the hens. He pitched down about 30 yards from us. He gave him a perfect shot. This was my oldest boys first turkey of the year. Beards 9 1/2,7 1/2,5 5/8 and 4. Spurs were both 1 1/8 and 23.4 pounds

I don't know what you are trying to say but we don't hunt like that. Just because I don't give you every little detail of the hunt you jump to conclusions. I told my boy that when you kill a bird or deer that good their is always so one that has something to say about how they think you killed it. Everyone has an opinion and you just happen to be the first jack @$$ that gave your opinion.

"Roosted is Roasted" is a term everyone uses! Because if you know where he is roosted usually you have a good shot at killing him. Mega WASN'T being a jack @$$! Great bird Congrats to your son.

Awesome Bird! I've killed one multi-beard bird and it too was a quadruple. It's one that both of you will never forget!
