quail quota

What's the odds of shooting any without dogs to help you flush? Just curious as I don't have a bird dog but wouldn't mind walking around
Very low. This is a wild bird hunt, not planted "coveys" marked by whoever dizzied them up and chucked them in the grass.

Your odds are equally poor that you find any downed birds in the cover. If you put in, do right by everyone else that applies and the birds- bring someone with dogs.

Says 3 hunters if the dog guy doesn't have a gun he's just an onlooker but who knows with TWRA
Depends on how this is interpreted by the area manager.

I would bet onlookers would not be permitted.

What breed did you get?
This year I will have about a year and a half GSP. Will be coming out of training in November/December. I am picking up another GSP in about a Month or Two. I wasn't looking for a second but found an amazing litter that I couldn't turn down. So the super young one will come with me on some preserve hunts and currently looking for a field near me to release a couple quail out on to train.
