I live in Sullivan Co. I seen where you apply for quota hunts for turkey.

To hunt the Cherokee National forest, do i have to apply for the quota hunt? Or just have my license and be legal?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. Just moved to Tennessee last year, all my hunting has been on Ft.Benning, and it's really slack down there.

I'm not sure about Cherokee NF but there is certain WMA you draw for and some that you just need a WMA permit you buy over the counter. Its best to get on TWRA website and check which ones are which. Also you can TVA land around the lakes too.

north Cherokee is open with statewide seasons. a type 095,167 or 094 is needed unless you have the sportsmans license
