Havent heard the first gobble yet, but I did connect on Saturday around 12:30. Got in super early, on public land, get set up.
Then the rain comes in, heavy and steady... He pops out of the woods around 150 yds out around 8:30, going back and forth. Would only break towards my calls, would not commit. 1.5 hours later, he starts coming my way, then breaks back into the woods. Didnt see him again for 2.5 hours, could have been a diff bird. but within 5 min of him coming out again, hes dead.. I assume a subordinate bird
starting out a weird year, I havent heard any Turkey sounds at all yet (no hens, no gobbles, no purrs, no drums, etc..)

Not bad at all based on the weather.

Here it was brutal, Saturday it rained all day, no gobbling. Hunted yesterday morning in several inches of snow with overcast low clouds and wind, heard 1 bird gobble a handful of times.

This morning was gorgeous but cold around 29 degrees at sunrise, heard a handful of birds, one which gobbled himself almost to death, however I decided to speed up his demise with a load of 5's to the face.

Worst weather I've ever hunted in, in successive hunts. Birds are mostly in winter mode, but a few are beginning to feel it.
