Quota Hunt

My 13 year old son has been drawn for a quota turkey hunt at Oak Ridge WMA this 2025 season and I was not drawn. I know I should have applied as a party but I did not. My question is..

Will I be able to take him and just do the calling or did I completely mess this up?

I "think" you may still have a path forward. Call Oak Ridge WMA and inquire and get an official answer. Hopefully so, and good luck with your son. Nothing better than kids in the woods hunting.

On the state WMAs I don't think it would be an issue. But, with it being Oak Ridge and its additional security issues, it may be a problem. Get in touch with the Area Manager well in advance and get the answer in writing. I wouldn't show up out there without working it out in advance hoping that forgiveness would override permission.
 
Thanks, I am going to contact the officer that Andy S provided to get an answer. And yes getting it in writing is an excellent idea always.
