need input. Have shot spitfire 3 blades for years, have lost only one deer.

Are the Rage heads that good? I bought some of the 2 bladed 2.0.

I noticed on the Rage site that it leaves a big hole but not many were pass through shots?

I shot spitfires for years as well. I like them plenty. The Rage 2 blade is better in my opinion as they are cut on impact instead of punch on impact and are open going in. I am using the two blades for the second year. Two years ago I used the three blades and liked them but did not enjoy trying to keep the blades locked in place. THe two blades are much easier to handle.

I shot two does last year with the 2-blades. Both were passed through and they hit the ground so hard it ruined thier blades and tip.

I have used 3 blade Muzzys for years and I'm thinking about switching to the Rage 2 blade. I like all I have seen/read so far.

im kinda in the same boat. ive shot muzzy 3 blades for several years. they make a heck of a mess on the way out, but for some reason i cant get them tuned on my new shafts. im going to give the rage 2 blades a try and see what happens, input is mostly good with a few negatives, so im just going to buy them and decide for myself.ill let yall know. good luck to all

The Rage is a good head, but it shouldn't be a mask for tuning problems.

No need to tune they shoot just like your field tips.

If your bow is not tuned I dont care what broad head you use, the penetration will be weaker and pass throughs will be non existant. Paper Tune and make sure the bow is tuned up and shooting correctly.

thanks for the info. Used 2-blade spitfires for 6-7 years and only have two left. Looking for a change and the rage sounds pretty good.

I agree . A bow should be tuned no matter what broadhead is used to get maximum penetration . A mechanical broadhead should never be used as a crutch for a poorly tuned bow .

I agree your bow needs to be in tune, let me change my wording ( no need to change of move your sight pins because the fly just like your field tips ) sorry about that.

There are a bunch of good broadheads on the market. All of them will harvest. It is all about shot placement. The rage 2 blade is the head I shoot but I also shoot others. Slick trick is an awesome broadhead and I still fling a few of those. I have been wanting to try the blackouts as I just love the look and sharpness of that head. Would also like to see what the grim reaper would do! Man I am glad we have so many choices!!

The G5 Strikers are the sharpest , best flying fixed blade heads I have used . I have used Rage heads and they are okay , but I prefer a fixed blade head .

Aside from the fact that the entry hole with a 2 blade Rage is big enough to put your fist in, they truly are "field point impact". A lot of broadhead companies claim "field point accuracy", and for the most part that's true. That does not mean that their point of impact is the same as a field point. Rages will hit the same hole as a field point, with no sight adjustments. Screw em on and head to the woods.

I'll be trying Rage 2 blade this year. That being said I beleive we are the most important variable in broadhead performance. What I mean Is tuning your bow and taking only shots that are within each ones ability. Learned this the hard way 2 years ago I took a bad shot and didn't get deer ( we saw her later in season, luckily she healed up and made it) Used same broadheads 3 weeks later took big doe and seen her fall from the treestand, only differnce was good hit the arrow went in behind shoulder and exited back of ribs.

No more rage for me! I had my experience with them. Chad, I told you how I felt about them. I wish you great success with them. Fixed Broads for me.
