I used rage 2 bladed broadheads last year and only got to bowhunt a little bit got a shot at doe and plugged her what i thought was good(right above the shoulder) but arrow did not blow through her had a blood trail about 100 and we never found another drop. Never had this to happen before and was wondering if anybody else has had issues or maybe this was just a fluke.

above the shoulder?

shot placement is why

Last season for me was a perfect example of the importance of proper shot placement. I used a popular fixed 3-blade to shoot 2 does the first I made a bad hit low and front( one small patch of blood all we found) on the second arrow went in behind shoulder and exited back of ribs (saw the deer fall) any quality broadhead will bring a deer down quickly as long as it is well placed IMO. That said this will be my first year to try the Rage.

I was using the g5 montec till the rages came out, I switched just because? I had never used mechanicals until now. I have harvested 5 deer with them and have seen all 5 drop within sight.
