Please don't attack or be offended. I only want to help!
MAKE NO MISTAKE...Rage heads are GREAT broadheads. They fly well. Cut wide. And are SHARP. I would advise ANY hunter to use these heads. (For about half the money, another GREAT and similar choice would be the GATOR XP)
If I were the type of bowhunter who planned on only shooting 1-3 arrows per year, the RAGE head would probably be my FIRST choice.
But yesterday I boxed up and mailed back to the company (not rage) TWELVE (12) used broadheads. Half were bloody, the other half were just used.
By my calculations, 12 Rage heads would have cost me about 160.00. If I replace the blades, about 60.00.
And I have JUST begun my bow season which will end (Lord willing) in mid-January. I plan on my son and I shooting MANY more heads.
Guess how much the heads I sent back to the company will cost to get NEW ones replaced?
JUST POSTAGE! About $6.00. SIX DOLLARS FOR TWELVE NEW BROADHEADS!
It is called a LIFETIME WARRANTY!!! And Magnus STANDS WILLINGLY behind this warranty. In fact, I have spoken with this Company many times (I have NO affiliation). Their EXACT words were, "Hey, we don't care if you open a can of paint with our broadhead, just send it back and we will replace it FREE". It is their "GIMMICK" to capture the market and they certainly captured mine. I now own about THIRTY of the heads for my son and I. And MOST of my buddies now shoot these as well. According to their marketing guy, their company is growing!
Keep in mind though that these are NOT RAGE heads. These are fixed blade heads and DEFINITELY require that a hunter pay attention to bow AND arrow tuning, shot accuracy, and arrow placement. (which they should anyway) MOST times, the heads fly VERY well out of just about any well tuned bow and 4 inch fletching. But sometimes a little tuning helps.
Yes, RAGE is a good product but good grief they are VERY expensive.
