Well I'm not gonna lie, I set my alarm got up fine preparing myself for my last bow hunt of 2011 cause I dont hunt after mzloader opens. Feeling fine this morning until I got outside to get in the truck and at 530am winds were atleast 15-20 I went anyways had my HSS on so what could go wrong, and I wanted to get my SD card out of my camera as well so I was bound to go. Got up in the tree locked down etc etc, surf facebook a while waiting for morning to come alive. Long story short winds continued to get worse as the front moved in and I was litterally telling myself to make it to atleast 8am. I looked at my phone at 730 and stood up turned around unnocked an arrow put it in the quiver undone my seat strap from around the tree pulled my rope up and here came deer running right at me. Nock an arrow and waited, a button came right under the stand walking and a peaked around the otherside and seen a mature doe easing in behind him....she walks the same path and I draw about 15 yards, release the beast and...................................................................nothing, I missed What? UH OK????? What the crap happened. She jumps 10 feet and turns to look again, well in the strong winds Ol' Spit had already gotten another arrow and I knew this time she was in big trouble. Finally takes a step towards the stand making her broadside and release and.............................................Thump blood gushing out of both sides, I didnt even see which direction she went cause I was fixin to kill another ha ha. I ended up having another gray looking deer easing in front of me then dropped his head and started doggin does, it was a 5pt that I could tell, after he screwed up my 2nd deer I was gonna kill yet another gray looking deer started coming into my range. As i started to draw I had to give it another take through the binos and turned out it was a button so he lives to tell the story of the sickhead that was spewing blood all over the hollar turning acobatic flips all the way down the side of the ridge.
Pretty nice big doe, I took a pic of the Rage 2 blade hole but I think you can get the picture that she COULDN'T hold it! Pretty much a heart shot I cut the side out of her heart. And turns out I grazed her leg on the 1st shot.
