Rage

The Rage practice tips do NOT fly the same as my feild tips even after broad head tuning. This 30yd group is as close as I could get before running out of time and patience. Of course I have made a slight sight adjustment after the tuning session due to the leftage. Rage practice heads on the left feild points on the right. The one arrow is a couple years old, but has no direct effect on flight.

do you ever get a an exit with a rage?

Exit wound??

Personally, I have never had a pass-thru with a Ragenor recovered either deer. Now I must admit one of those two was an extremely pathetic shot, but the second shot was a broadside in the crease shot. Both deer took off on a dead run with the arrow flopping as they ran. Both bloodtrails were almost non-existant and I know more friends, than not, that had the same experience with arrows not passing through, but they for the most part did find their kill. Not to mention all of the hunting shows, especially the Drury Bros., that show their deer with Rage tipped arrows running off still protruding out from the deer. I switched to a G5 cut-on-contact broadhead and the problem has been solved. Rage's in my very personal opinion are over-hyped and way over-priced. Switch to a quality cut-on-contact broadhead and it will not only do a better job, it will also be initially cheaper and the blades will not be ruined like the Rages after every shot.

I noticed that about the Drury boys too, but I believe i heard them mention that they are shooting like 53# on those PSE bows. We'll see. I'm trying the rage this year and i'm only shoting 50#.

Big mechanicles are not meant to be shot at low poundage. If you are going to be shooting a broadhead like the rage or big grim reapers you should be pumping out some serious kenetic energy.

My bow is set at 64 pounds and I shoot the 2 blade rage and really love them. Out of the last 6 deer I shot only had one not pass through and that was my fault I hit the deer right on the shoulder and it stopped in the shoulder on the other side, and the fixed blade wont pass through that.

i shot two deer with the rage last year. no pass thru on either. broke both arrows too. i have slick tricks in the quiver this year. shooting 64 pounds
