I had a brunton and it quit working. Took it back and bought a nikon and I love it! I think mine is the prostaff 550.

Leupold RX-600 is the one I bought. It is very small, and accurate. I used it some last season, and look forward to putting it back to work late Sept!!!

optic is good enough for bow hunting as well as first rate range finder

After using a couple of different one, I prefer this to the others. It can range from 5 yards to 500 yards, is easy to use, it is small and will fit in my shirt pocket and it is good in low-light conditions.

I need to get one myself. I don't know from experience but I was listening to a podcast last year called Bowcast and they interviewed a guy from Nikon who said that one advantage to the Nikon Rangefinder is the fact that it will range through shoot thru mesh on a pop up blind. That could be handy imo.

there is no way i would try to shoot an arrow through that.

Get one...I hate leaving mine home. It's a Bushnell, but I can't remember the name. It was about $175 four years ago.

I have the previous model...400 or something like that. its really all you need. Batteries last forever, and its on to the half yard.
