Ranking SEC football coaches by job security

Considering Foley's success as of late ,he could go with or before the next coach.

Foley normally hits on every other coach... Spurrier from Duke - Home run, Zook an assistant coach - great recruiter and bad coach, Meyer from Utah - Home run, Muschamp an assistant coach - another great recruiter and bad coach, and now Coach Mac????

All the home runs so far were offensive coaches and HCs from small schools before coming to UF. Coach Mac fits that mold.

Zook and Champ both could recruit and worked on the defensive side of the ball before coming to UF. Neither were HCs before coming to UF.... :)

If history repeats itself then UF will be in good shape... :) also Foley is one of the best ADs in the business.... ;)

He did luck out with your basketball coach. Can't remember his name.

Same guy that turned down UT and they ended up with Donnie. I would call this the "reverse spin.". One minute we are talking about football and the next you are talking about Basketball. I will talk about men's basketball, UF has twice as many men's BB N/C than UT and FSU put together... :). Now if you play this right, you could spin it to women's B.B and become a UT fan.... :tu:

Any old crime we can look up... :)

Yes UT basketball has been great. Really don't need to look up old criminals, you have so many current to choose from. I know Gator , UFS, aka ,FSU has a few also, but you still lead.

I'm easy, what ever helps you sleep at night.... :tu:

I will add that if you notice I don't defend the criminals at UF or pretend that they are innocent... :)

I do like that about you GnB. I'm done here. :|

I would say derek mason has the best job in the sec. Gets paid well, no pressure of being great(or even mediocre), and a has a legitimate reason of why Vandy will always suck. What coach was the last to be fired at vanderbilt? Heck I don't know, vandy coaches usually just quit and go fishin.

I wouldn't be so hard on him. He competed last year against CBJ with lesser tallent... :tu:

Lol at gator, your finally admitting Mushchamp was a bad coach, last season you were bragging on him to the bitter end, same with Driskel. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

No different than you guys saying CBJ is a good coach. Out of the two coaches. Muschamp had a better record his first two years and he won both games in the series.

So comparing Muschamp to Jones, yes he was a good coach. Just not to UF standards.... :rotf:

CBJ two years at UT: 12-13
Muschamp first two years at UF: 18-7
Muschamp against CBJ: 2-0
Muschamp took UF to 11-1 regular season and one game from the N/C game.

Driskel went 11-2 his first full season as a starter. UT fans would do cartwheels if Dobbs could do that. I believe having 3 OC in 4 years didn't help in his development. Turnovers is what killed Driskel.

Funny I just read an article. Couldn't paste, Jones was number 4 most secured coach in sec, Mcelwain was 8th. Cannot judge Jones record so much his first two years, no coach could do much better with the talent he had, as you can see thats changing, we just climbed 6 more spots in 2016 recruiting rankings!
