I finally broke down and bought one. I have no idea about how to use it. I bought some solution with it but my questions are.
1.Is it absolutely necessary to use distilled water
2.what temperature do I need to run it at.and for how long? I will be cleaning 300wm 223 22-250 cases.
3. I would like to clean my suppressor in it. Has anyone had any experience doing this.

Didn't instructions come with it mine did? I have never used distilled water. Mine said you have to use a different solution to clean parts that what is used to clean cases.
I quite using mine for cases and stared using the stainless steel pin method, like it a lot better.

Yes the instuctions came with it. BUT they said nothing about time and temperature. Also it said that if you use any water but distilled it would leave water spots. Curious to know what everyone else does.

Mine just went by time I would sat the timer for the top time setting I think it was something like 460 seconds. There was no temperature setting.

I never had spots on my brass and I used Memphis tap water.

some notes:
(1) Dawn detergent
(2) Some type of acid-lemishine if you can
(3) DO NOT OVERLOAD. it can cause the cleaner to fail. I know.
(4) If you have tumbled brass get rid of all media.
(5) I used the maximum time period for each batch.

I also used mine for cleaning bolts, actions, triggers, Dies. It will amaze you how dirty they are.

So does anyone actually have experience with the rcbs? The instructions suck!!!!! What is degassing? Why would I need to do that? So far im not impressed at all. I still think I must be doing something wrong.

Well KPH. It seems that it would be but gass from what? And why? I take my previous statement back. I turned the heater on 130degrees. I set my timer on 30 minutes and the results are great. I seem to be having some problems with photobucket. Ill post pics later

Matt that looks good what ever you are doing keep it up. I never had mine that clean from mine but it is a Hornady and have no temp. control just a timer.

Yep, I do not know what degassing means in reference to a sonic cleaner. I do know that in some cleaners you use kerosene or the like but that would not be appropriate for a home use sonic cleaner.

And yeah, you should get inside and outside including primer pockets clean like in Matt's pictures.

Congratulations
