Just thought these were some good examples of deer reaction to red glow cams set on video. 2009 Bushnell TC. Ive been lucky with this one so far, it has started having glitches lately though.

I read reviews on this camera and noticed there a lot of negative reviews on a major hunting outfitter website. I also saw lots of positive reviews. I went ahead and got one of these cameras and have had positive results so far. I wondered if the negative reviews were from folks who don/t understand how to set them up properly.

I noticed on the Bushnell website that software upgrades can be downloaded to the camera. I am not inferring that you are not tech savvy, but I am wondering what kind of glitches are you experiencing?

I noticed on my night pictures, the deer are sometimes staring at the camera, which I assume they are curious of the red din of the IR flash.

Bushnell Trophy Cam have had a ton of problems, very well documented. The 2009 cams had less trouble though, and mine is a 2009. The glitches Im experiencing now have to do with the screen. It used to work fine but now it blanks out and such. I dont fool with commercial cams any more though, if it tears up I replace with a homebrew.

The problem is Quality Control in the manufacturing process. In essence, the technology of the cameras is good. But due to poor quality control during manufacturing, many units come off the production line that fail right out of the box or soon after deployment, or never work properly. In fact, that is the primary problem with most Chinese cameras. If you get a well-built one, you will love it (good technology). But if you get one that was not assembled properly, it will fail rapidly or never work correctly and you will hate it. This last year's model of Bushnell Trophy Cam had some serious manufacturing issues, in that a high percent of buyers got "a bad one." However, if you were lucky enough to get a well-built unit, you will love it.
