Reaping

Just sickening. Turkeys deserve way more respect than that. Shooting him in the rear as hes flying away, then body shooting him as a follow up. Almost as bad as video of the two kids torturing the paralyzed deer. Hope that video is taken down. Gives Turkey hunters a terrible image.

Ditto!

I've never tried it. I've killed 25 toms( no hens) and have called all of them in but one.

Has to be one of the dumbest statements I've seen in awhile on here! Two guys doing something perfectly legal, on a license we didn't buy is compared to some punks stomping and beating a paralyzed deer to death. Come on give me a break  dude shot the turkey and done nothing wrong.

I agree. Nothing like the deer video at all.

That is pathetic. No respect for nothing I just watched. Even if you didn't grow up calling gobblers into 40 yard or closer the "traditional" way As I did and LOVE, how can anyone be okay shooting one in the rear like that flying off? I am surprised this reaping is still legal my 2 cents

Never really seen the point in killing turkeys this way or killing them over corn for that matter...
I don't really care how many turkeys you killed but I am interested in how many quality "hunts" you had. If I just want to pick up dead turkeys they have them at Kroger for a fraction of the cost.

I've done it a couple times with just a tail fan. Lot of fun, but not very challenging. Not my preferred method of hunting. My main concern is too many people doing it and hurting the population. Because turkeys really are that dumb

Sorry you dont see the similarities between crippling a deer, then stomping his head, laughing about it, and putting it on the internet to crippling a turkey, then stomping his head, laughing about it and putting it on the internet (although the reapers didnt focus on showing the stomping his head, just the crippling part and laughing about it). Both are legal, but neither are right or ethical. No game animals are playthings for our amusement and torture. Lack of respect for the animals we pursue is a trait of sociopaths, regardless of whether it's legal. At least I wont have to ever worry about sharing camp who those who see nothing wrong with they way this turkey was disrespected.

I've never tried it but I'd kind of like to. The difference is I'd like to try catching one by hand doing it. Catch and release.
