i've been blessed in mississippi this yr.. gone 2 times and harvested 2 birds.. anyone have a recipe on smoking a turkey breast.. or something besides frying. trying to stay away from fried foods.. maybe a crockpot. thanks folks, g

We've did the crockpot thing before and made bbq sandwiches with it. Super easy as well, as soon as it get tender and starts falling apart just start shredding it up. Use whatever sauce you like.

If we don't fry them, we marinate, cut into strips, then throw it on the grill. You can also make poppers out of the meat, like you would with deer or dove.

Season with a little Tony's, wrap in a strip or two of bacon, then wrap it all in cheesecloth, soaked in melted butter. Smoke it at 250 til the internal temp gets right. Let it sit about thirty minutes after removing from the smoker, then unwrap. Throw the bacon to the dog or otherwise dispose of, and slice up the breast and serve.
