I just found 3 of these cameras in a closet at a lodge I take care of. No cards or batteries and if they were junk they would not be here. I know Reconyx, have 30 more modern Reconyx cameras in the field and know they will repair their products reliably. My question is since these are older and I have no experience with the model, whats everyones thoughts on these cameras?

Can't go wrong with anything Reconyx. I have a RC60 that I got back in 2007, I believe. That's a 13 year old camera - I sent it back for the first time this year because the daytime pics were blurry - nighttime was fine. Sent it back and they replaced the daytime filter for $40 and sent it back with a really nice Reconyx hat.

My advice is to put batteries in them and see if there is anything wrong. If so, write it down and then call Reconyx. They will take it from there

I have a buddy (156p&y) on here...that also has the same camera and told me he had that problem and prompted me to send back. So, that's 2 RC60's I know of that they fixed. The info they put out states they carry the parts for all of their cameras, no matter their age

Thanks, doing just that. ordered c to AA adapters and the correct cards for them. now to check them out.

Reconyx is one of the best companies I have ever dealt with for standing behind their products, YEARS after production or they have been out of warranty. They should be good to go as stated above. C to AA adapters are a must. Good luck and let us know how things turn out.

Thanks. Just ordered a 6 pack that will be delivered tomorrow. It's for my RC60. Will be interesting to see how long 6 AA lithium batteries will last

You can't go wrong with a reconyx. I've been running them for 14 years now. I second their service department as well.
