I am thinking about trading the compound in for a recurve. I do a good bit of bow fishing and am a pretty good instinctive shooter. I am just looking for some input on what which bows to look at along with everything else. Thanks in advance.

one main thing is to pick a comfortable draw weight. big difference between a compound draw weight and a trad bow, no let off.
next, if possible, get with some guys that have tradbows and ask them to let you try them out. most tradbows are not 'cookie cut' out of a mold like compounds, grips are different, different lengths tip to tip, etc.
you can get on some of the traditional only sites and find good deals on great bows in the classifieds.

Go to a traditional 3-d shoot. Trad bows are not like compounds. people will be glad to let you shoot em. figure out what you don't like first. Buy a cheap 45# bow and start shooting.

Tradgang.com is a good site to find used equipment, also archerytalk.com has a good classified section, I think its stickbow.com has a lotta used stuff for sale, craigslist.

You can spend what you want and then some on a bow but like they said find a shoot or someone who has one and try it first, ther a blast dont get me wrong but some people just dont get it.

Tell ya what, whers birch wood at ???
