I'm having the same problem with my Red 6. I emailed WGI and they said its probably sensor causing IR to flash too soon and causing white out. Mine is doing it in daytime and night time too. They told me to try moving it to less shady spot (which makes no since cause there's no shade at night) and if it still does it they'd let me send it back for a fix or another camera.
