I bought a pack of the Red Head Blackouts today and shot each broadhead one time into my foam target. They flew exactly like my field point at 20 yards. I am pretty sure they will perform the same at further distance. These are essentially G5 Strikers and have heard good things about them.

You will just have to shoot them and see. I shoot broadheads from every distance I can think of to compare them to my field points.

Make sure to buy some replacement blades for hunting . If you practice allot with the heads the blades will become dulled .

I am going to buy some replacement blades next month. I noticed today that there a little bit of difference between the broadhead ad field point at 30 yards while I was up in my climber.

You can make some slight tuning adjustments to correct the difference . Do a search on broadhead tuning.

My question is the blades are replaceable but the cut at impact tip is not. I guess the tip remains sharp enough to start the wound channel at impact for the fresh blades to slice through.

Ive had my eye on these b.h. for a while now....i finally ordered them from bass pro and they shipped yesterday! I can wait to try em out.

They are the sharpest heads I have ever seen! Hands down!! Great heads! Would be in my top three favorites!

They are made for bass pro by G5. The only difference between them and the striker is the striker has a 1/8 larger cut size.

I've killed dozens of deer with Thunderheads and Slick Tricks, and their tips are nowhere near as sharp as the Striker, so don't worry about it. If you still want to sharpen them, the G5 website has a video clip for sharpening the Montec; do the same thing with your Black Outs (after removing the blades) and you should be good to go.
