Went to New Orleans to visit my son. Fished with Big Dog Charters out of Barataria LA. Caught 3 limits of reds and black drum. Daughter caught the biggest red of course.

These fish were so stacked up a fly rod would have been perfect. You were almost guaranteed a hit when the popping cork came up on the flat. We were fishing a small drop off that came up on a flat that was a weed bed in spring/ summer. Fished 3 holes all the same pattern.

Congrats! Fun for sure. Been 2 redfish jubilees dow there past 2 weeks. Folks catching a limit in 5 min from the banks of deep canals or releasing 100 fish in a half day. Just insane if they get 3 days in a row of below freezing temps
