Relaxing afternoon

Really relaxing afternoon, caught around 45, kept 25 bluegill and shellcrackers to have for supper. All of the bluegill were 8-9.5", the shellcrackers averaged 10".

ive become very fond of lelands popeye jig tipped with gulp waxies the last few years. the only downside, if one would call it that, is that LMB will hit it hard.

I tie my own jigs. All you need are various weight lead head jigs, red thread, a squirrel tail and some super glue. One squirrel tail will make 100 jigs. I have to buy wax worms unfortunately but they will keep in the fridge several months.
