hey guys
i found 250 rd boxes of 45acp at walmart for 86 bucks.
i know mathematically i might a some reloading them but i wanted ya'lls thoughts on if it was just better to buy. thanks!

I tried two of those UMC 250 round value packs for practice and the brass. Upon chambering the bullets were set back in the case considerably. I noticed sharper recoil than I have ever felt from a 230gr FMJ. At first I thought my recoil spring had weakened but I've only fired about 400 rounds on that spring. I loaded from slide lock and ejected the unfired round and the projectile had been pushed noticably back into the case. I ran the remaining 350 rounds of UMC through the taper crimp die and they all functioned as they were supposed to.
Might want to chamber a round and see if the bullet sets back into the case if you buy a UMC value pack

Daddy used to shoot IDPA over with John Robinson,,with a Kaspian 1911 Damascus framed Bill Wilson Hybird in 45ACP,,

he used a Dillon Progressive and says he shot over 100,000 rounds through that one pistol,,

he WON a lot,,
