I'm looking at reloading for a 9mm. I have dies and have loaded several rifle rounds but never a pistol round. What bullets do y'all prefer. Cheapest place to find bullets. I've looked at berrys bullets but is there anything special about loading those compared to standard jacketed bullet. I know not to load them hot which I don't plan on anyway

The Berry's and many others are a plated bullet, with the copper "coating" being much thinner than other brands' jacketed bullets, requiring the low to moderate velocities. They are typically far cheaper. You can also use lead bullets and save more money. If the fit and hardness match your gun then they will cause minimal to no leading at low to moderate speeds. I load some of the plated HPs for my .40, but I bought a bullet mould that I will use when the plated bullets are gone. I have bought a few buckets of wheel weights from local tire shops for $30 each, and they will keep me in business casting for a few different guns for a while.

I have used Berry's and Zero - both have performed well out of my Glock 26 and my Kimber Ultra CDP. And like anything else if you can find it - buy in bulk.

I don't load anything hot. I usually stay at the mid to low range in the reloading manuals.

I have used theres an Rainers they work fine in ours. Biggest thing for me when starting to load for auto pistols was getting the crimp right.I ended up setting it with a factory live round Plus a slight turn more.

I've got 1000 that are supposed to be delivered Wednesday. My best powder option at the local store was longshot. The bullets are 115gr. According to the hodgdon website min is 5.0 and max is 6.0 with longshot. Thinking somewhere around 5.2-5.5 should do fine
