Looking online lot's of components are on backorder. Especially brass, and bullets, of military type rounds old and new. Along with with lots of other stuff being sold out or backorderd. Their must be quite a run on reloading stuff lately.
I was wondering if prices will be going down because of the steeply falling metal prices but probably not with the supply and demand so strong these days.

I read some recent news about the increased demand on guns. All types including pistols.
They are forecasting the demand to increase even further, and prices to move higher.

Would think ammo and components would also follow suit.
Increased demand trumps lower mfg costs.

Well that just sucks!
Good thing I'm pretty well stocked up almost.
Anybody have some 338 bullets they want off their hands?
I have to fireform some 35 whelen brass for my 338-06. I hate to use my 215 gr Sierra Game Kings just yet at 41 cents a piece just yet.
How about Brit 303 brass?

There's also rumors that Obama's economic recovery plans includes high taxes on ammo, and also there's fears that there will be new, more restrictive gun regulations in the near future.

Gee, wonder where people get that idea!

Prices of guns and ammo, are only going to increase.
Buy what you want now,and save some money.
an AR-15 build is on my list now. A lot of people do not like these black guns. They give people the spooks.

I loaded up when legends went out of business last year. I went to Grants in Dalton Ga the other day and they wanted $26.99 for a pound of powder, they just lost my business, gouging. I turned around and walked out, I had intentions of buying a rifle too. Remember the shops that are raping their customers with jacked up prices and don't buy from them! Also 199.00 for a H&R single shot 410ga!

I think everybody is buying things up to "save for a rainy day" since we now have a democratic president. I usually buy powder from Sportsman's Warehouse in Chattanooga. They keep a bunch of 8 lb. kegs in stock. I was there 2 weekends ago and i'll bet they didn't have 30 lbs. of powder in the whole place. They were about out of bullets, too. Glad I cast mine. I tried to find some .270 Sierra bullets online today for a friend of mine for Christmas. Let me tell you- it was tough. As far as lead prices, they are coming down. Last Feb. I bought a friend of mine 750 lbs. of lead at 80 cents a lb. less than a year before that it I was buying it at 25 cents/lb. I bought some more about a month ago and I believe it was 40 cents/lb. but I don't think the price of components will come down.
