Was planning on loading some 243 and have question. I have some Hybird 100v powder and on the label the load chart suggests 43.7 gr and in my Hornaday manual the max powder charge is 42.6 gr, why difference and would be safe to go by label on powder.

Work up to the highest paying attention to all pressure signs. I'm over max according to some manuals and under in others.

Start up low and workng up the load. Most the books will not show the samething.

start at 40 and work up until you see pressure and back down at least one gr 2 would be better,,
Okay thanks,I was just surprised to see such a difference and couldn't imagine a maximum load being listed on the powder container.

If you look at Nosler's manual and then the Alliant web site the differences are startling for RL19 in 243 with 95 grain partitions/ballistic tips. Just have to follow the same rules, start at low end and work up.
