I was told the other day by a Federal rep that the Fusion can't be reloaded because it's a bonded bullet. Now, I understand that the jacket is bonded to the core, but the casings don't appear any different to me, even with a mic. I don't have tremendous faith in his answer since when the conversation turned to ballistics coefficient, he looked like a deer in headlights. Has anyone tried reloading Fusion casings with say NP or NBT? Or do you have any definitive info on why these casings can't be reloaded as long as the bullet is a boattail?

Looks like they would have a warning clearly stated on the box if the brass wasn't re-loadable. I think the rep don't know what he is talking about.

Fusion bullets are loaded by Federal, using Federal brass. Its the same brass used in every other Federal load, and is very reloadable. Also Speer offers the new Deep Curl bullet for reloaders, which is supposed to be the same bullet as the Fusion. Speer does offer different loading specs for the Deep Curl vs other bullets, but the info is out there for all to see. Sounds like maybe I need a job as Federal rep, that guy doesn't know crap.

I had read about the deep curls, but I'm so-so impressed with the fusion. I'll reload with probably NBT just for the better BC. I'll let you know if they don't work, I blow myself up and die.

I think Deep Curls are flat based where as Fusin is boatail. Could be wrong though. No firsthand experience with either.

The casings load fine. I was given 40 7/08 case by a co-worker and loaded them up with no issues at all. Matter of fact the crimp at the case mouth was not there like I have always seen on factory loaded Winchesters. I give them a thumbs up.

Actually a concave base, witch helps with compressed loads
They shoot great from of my 338-06 re-loads, and should preform very well on deer from my ballistic wet phone book bullet test results.
