Should I resize brand new brass? I ran 5 or so through my resizing die and barely felt any resistance at all.

I never resize new brass.

I neck size and dechamfer inside and out the necks before I load new brass,

Thanks for the advice guys. I try both ways and see how much it makes a difference in accuracy.

Manufacturer's reccomendation for new brass is to FL size and trim before using. There may be some minor variations in configurations, but major variations in length which could lead to dangerous overpressures. I would at least trim to length.

I FL size and trim all new brass and also clean out the flash hole if it's not Lapua. I usually just FL size Lapua. I don't know if it is necessary but it makes me feel better.

X2. Always resize, deburr, and chamfer new brass... unless its Nosler brass. Its ready to go out of the package.

The only new brass I have experience with is Lapua in .308. I chambered a few right out of the box and measured about 10% of them. They chambered easily with no extra effort and length was dead nutz so I only neck sized.

I resize all but lapua and nosler.
All others the neck of many of the cases are deformed upon arrival so they at least need to be made round again.
