I was wondering why is everything so hard to get right know, esp. primers. I was at a local gun shop today and the owners theory is someone is buy everything up as soon as it leaves the factory and is storing it up. Planing on selling later and make a huge profit. What everyones take on this??????..............

There was a small piece in the latest American Rifleman about that. There answer was that demand has gone up but with the current fears about the economy and political environment, manufacturers aren't willing to make long term investments in more tooling or personnel to meet the increased demand. Basically their capacity at the factories is what it has been for the past few years and will not change but the damand is still higher than capacity.
They also stated that one maker of reloading presses has doubled their sales of their top progressive models over the previous year.

I don't have a problem with someone buying it up to re-sale it later on. I'm a firm believer in Capitalism. If you're going to make it in this world, you have to be smarter than the next guy.

Everything is harder to get now because demand is higher than supply.

Dittos to Hogbear an Renegade 50.

Another reason could be some Wholesaleers,Due to demad right now might be haveing a hard time keeping up with there stock.I went by a local store,Fox & Company BTW, the owner found some Win 209's in stock that the wholesaler didn't know they had.
